The MX4SIO Memory card adapter for the PS2 is the latest option to enable you to use an SD card to store and play your PS2 backups and ROMs via OPL (Open Loader), but can be a real challenge to get set up correctly (Ask me how I know!!). With this bundle, the hard work has been done for you – two cards configured and tested to work together. The 64MB FMCB Memory Card (or 8MB FunTuna for the SCPH-9XXXX models) is configured with the correct OPL version and to work flawlessly with the MX4SIO on ALL Fat and Slim PS2s (read more below on compatibility). The MX4SIO has a HUGE 1TB or 512GB quality MicroSD fitted, loaded to the brim with hand-picked, top-rated content, including all disc and box art.

Please note – a random colour MX4SIO will be supplied, depending on stock on hand at the time.

What makes the MX4SIO so special is that its read speeds approach that of an internal HDD installed on a Fat PS2, and FAR EXCEED those of a USB drive. Full motion videos don’t stutter with the MX4SIO (except for a few known games) like they do with USB and it allows the use of ROMs over 4GB in size without having to break them up using complicated tools – it’s brilliant! The other great thing is the cards are small and portable and can be transferred and used in other compatible PS2s!

This FMCB and MX4SIO mod kit is now compatible with ALL PS2 Fat and Slim models! This includes the later SCPH-9XXXX models (has a 2 piece top and an internal power supply using a figure 8 power cord only and NOT a power brick). Previously if you had one of the SCPH-9XXXX models, you could not use FMCB and this kit, but I have now built a kit with the help of FunTuna which will allow you to! PLEASE NOTE: Select your PS2 model when placing your order from the available variations in the ad. ** VERY IMPORTANT ** If you have a Slim SCPH-9XXXX (the later model Slim with the internal power supply, no power brick, and the two piece top – see the compatible model pics), you need the FunTuna setup – the regular kit will not work in your system!
